On Sunday, November 1, 2009 the 12U Suns traveled to Riverbank Park in Newark, NJ to face the 12U representatives of the legendary Ironbound Soccer Club. Once again, the Suns did shine on the beautiful Autumn day holding on to defeat Ironbound 4-2. The Suns started very strong compiling a 3-0 lead with intense pressure on the Ironbound defense. Ironbound proved a formidable opponent with a strong attack of their own late in the game. The Suns ended the match with confident and cool play on both ends of the field.

The afternoon match ended with sportsmanship and camaraderie including sharing a snack and dual team photo (above) with the Suns' gracious hosts, the Ironbound Soccer Club.
